Support our new refugee center!

One Light Global sees Bidi Bidi as a place to reinvent the way refugee camps are created – from slum like camps to centers of empowerment, community collaboration and innovation.  Because of Uganda’s policy toward refugees, which allows each family a plot of land, permits employment and allows freedom of movement, new solutions are readily possible here.   

We are committed to building revolutionary resource centers that will empower refugees to  collaborate together to create innovative water, food, and housing solutions – as well as receive education, healing, skills and life training, and more.  

Our vision is to create a model that can be used worldwide in the creation of camps that will allow refugees to be empowered contributing citizens rather than victims wherever they are.  We are also building a learning center and empowering women refugee entrepreneurs from DR Congo and Ethiopia in Nakivale refugee settlement.
