Grant Writing Intern (Unpaid)

We are looking for someone with grant writing experience, who is passionate about OLG’s mission, can help identify grant opportunities, write grants, and coordinate with OLG team in successfully submitting grant applications to further OLG’s cause.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research grants that help further OLG’s mission.

  • Write foundation, corporate, and government grants.

  • Write grant reports when needed.

  • Conduct routine inquiries about grant programs and priorities, including deadlines, guidelines and proposal review process.

  • Track grant deadlines and send reminders for key delivering key tasks to the OLG team as needed.

  • Track and communicate grant-related deliverables with the OLG team.

  • Join OLG calls, meetings, take notes, and help execute weekly action items.

  • Determine OLG’s eligibility for grants and/or outline the necessary steps needed for achieving eligibility for grants.

  • Develop and implement methods for receiving new grants and increased grant amounts.

  • Think through project budgets, performance measurement metrics, and project logistics.

Qualifications:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.

  • Access to Facebook, Zoom, Whatsapp and Slack.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and communication skills.

  • Understanding of organization's requirements and the need for funding.

  • Ability to think through project budgets, performance measurement metrics, and project logistics.

  • Strong research skills.

  • Grant writing experience preferred.
